1. The St. Crispin’s Day Speech relates to the Independence Day Speech because the person who is giving the speech is trying to get everybody excited and prepared for what is coming. It also relates to it because at the end of the speech, Henry V says that we should celebrate St. Crispin’s day, while the guy giving the Independence Day speech says that they should celebrate their independence.

1. The president is telling the solidiers that we will fight for our independence he is not saying you he is saying we so that means that he is going to fight with them just like King Henry V fought with his men. He is also saying that July 4 will be celebrated as a worldwide holiday and they will be remembered just like King Henry said to his solidiers.

This speech relates to the St. Crispin’s Day given by Shakespeare’s Henry V because they were both young and old, fighting for their inependence, freedom, right to live and exist. They did not go down without a fight just like the soldiers did not from Shakespeare’s Henry V. Both went into this battle confident, brave, and positive. They believed that they were coming out alive. And they would always remember this day, the day they won the battle for freedom.

This is like Henry V’s speech Because their not just going to war on a day that’s already remembered but it will be remembered more for what they’ve done and they celebrate their independence.

I think the president’s speech on the fourth of July was like the saint Crispin day (henry V) speech because they were both outnumbered by a lot. The odds of the war were that of the team that was out numbered both won. The wars that took place were most of the important wars of that time. Both of the motivation by the leader was poem like. Also it looked like both leaders were taking a part in the war, which made them fight harder and win. They were both motivation speeches. They both said these speeches because the odds were that they were going to lose. Also so they will get pumped for battle. Finally so they will know what they were fighting for. That is how I thought these two speeches were alike.

The speech relates to St. Crispin’s Day Speech because they are about to go to war. It is also a special day. The day is Fourth of July and St. Crispin’s Day. It got the soldiers ready to go to war on the special day. It was a speech given to pump op the soldiers to do their best in the war that they will soon fight. I think the St. Crispin’s Day speech was more effective. I think it was more effective because it was what they were going to do when the war was over and it was the vigil and St. Crispin’s Day I got information on http://movieclips.com/5qmMy-independence-day-movie-the-presidents-speech/ And the King Henry V paper.

The Independence Day speech relates to the St.Crispin’s Day Speech because they are both told with power and pride. Also they both say that the world will remember the fight, that on the day the fights were on, people will celebrate forever. Another thing they relate to is mankind in reunited, the real men are the ones fighting in each battle. Also, both speeches have a crowd and at the end, they end up chanting and clapping with pride.

I think this video relates to St.Crispins Day speech because it’s a speech before they go into war. Both of them are days to remember the soldiers that go into war. There both speeches to encourage them to fight well in war. They were both out numbered and the way he said the speech in the video was like the St.Crispins Day speech in his own words.

Its related in a bunch of ways because of its well thought poetry uses and the words mean the same when Henry v gives his speech about St.Crispins day while this one talks about independence of America and they want it to be a National holiday which is known today as the 4th of July were we have fireworks and we have parties to celebrate our Independence of our country where as St.Crispins day is were when Henry v gave the speech about how that they will remember the war that they are fighting in and there manhood to be remembered as The battle of againcourt the battle were the English one with very little men and their own leader fighting with them as a sign of respect and the chance to show him what they are made of.

I believe this speech is similiar to Henry V speech because they are both battle cries. They are both leaders or commanders rallying there troops. They are both telling there troops that it will be a tough battle but they will come out victorious. They said that they will have freedom with this victory. The two speeches describe the battle. The speeches were both said by commanders or leaders. After the speech the troops were fired up and ready to go. These are my comparasons or the speeches.
Some contrasts that I have the speech is very different. In Henry V speech the language was very old fashioned. While in the other speech it was a modern terms of speech. In Henry V speech he talked about history to go along with it. Well in the Independence Day Speech it was only about the upcoming battle. In Henry V speech he often talks about his family (cousin Westmoreland). In the Independence Day Speech it directly and only talked about the battle. These are my contrasts between the speeches.

This speech relates to the St. Crispin Day speech given by William Shakespeare because it has a lot of feeling and is very emotional. Instead of saying “Tomorrow is Saint Crispian”, it was the Fourth of July. He is telling them that they would be launching the largest areal battle in the history of mankind. It is like in William Shakespeare’s speech when they know that the day would be remembered. In the Independence Day speech, he says: “We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interest.” It is like in William Shakespeare’s speech when he says: “We few, we happy few, band of brothers; for he to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile, This shall gentle his condition.” It is like this because they are telling them to put aside their differences. When William Shakespeare says: “be he ne’er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition.” he is saying that the meanest person will be nice. They are saying to go out there and fight their hardest and give everything they have, because they will remember that day forever.

Describe how this speech relates to the St. Crispin’s Day Speech given by Shakespeare’s Henry V?
The Independence Day speech relates to the St. Crispin day speech given by Shakespeare’s Henry V because the soldiers are getting ready to fight in a war just like in Henry V. The president says that “Mankind should have a new meaning”. He is saying that the people who are fighting here today are the true men. This is a form of figurative language. Shakespeare uses this form of figurative language in Henry V. “ Gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here and hold their manhood’s cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day”. And then the president uses “Tomorrow is Independence Day”, which Shakespeare also uses “Tomorrow is Saint Crispin’s Day”. This is why the president’s speech relates to the St. Crispin’s Day Speech given by Shakespeare’s Henry V.
